I'm struggling with this one - sorry for the very imperfect photos. Is it possible to id for certain? Taken today, April 1, on Dauphin island (Shell Mound). thank you!

A bit of a challenging one! I'd go for Northern on several features:

  • Crisp streaking that appears to go right through the throat
  • Dull pink legs (not foolproof)
  • Lack of buff color on flanks
  • Supercilium is bright white, but appears to thin out at the rear in the first image (2nd image is more ambiguous)
