Weasel killing brown rat (1 Viewer)

What an amazing thing to witness. Like it or not you have to admire Stoats and Weasels. For such little animals they pack one hell of a punch!!

Hi I have posted a video clip of what I thought was a weasel overpowering and killing a brown rat.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFTAY8h6jLc&hd=1

Am I correct that this is a weasel or is it a stoat, it has a darker tail tip but not a black tip would a juvenile stoat show a dark tip rather than a black tip?
Many thanks for any help
Regards Kim

How to tell the difference between a stoat and a weasel.......

The one is weasely recognisable, and the other is stoatally different.
Hope that helps.

Wow, the rat is bigger than the weasel! That's incredible. What an amazing little animal, absolutely incredible. A great video, thanks for sharing.
