It is a bit of a dull old day, though the Robin is singing very happily from our Apple Tree at the end of the garden. He has been singing all night to by all accounts. :-O
It feels a tad bit colder too. Still spring is there and as the light nights are coming now it will brighten up the days to come.
I am sure I heard a Blackbird singing like fury yeaterday afternoon. Blackbirds have been so quiet. Maybe the snow, and cold has put a dampner on their singing technique.
The birds have gone quiet! Though I have had 2 Coal Tits in the garden the last couple of days! I don't think they are stashing the food, so hopefully they aren't a warning of colder weather!
A glimmer of brightness on the horizon...bet it passes us by! A dull one again!
A female Sparrowhawk swooped through the garden this morning in pursuit of a Blackbird! The Blackbird escaped into the thick of the conifers! One lucky Blackbird!:eek!: Suffice to say my garden was devoid of all birds for a while!
What a surprise it's grey damp misty & 7C. For added variation this morning the wind is howling. Can you have mist and a strong wind, you would think it would blow away |:S|. Maybe it's low cloud. The only good thing about this weather is I'm getting a few jobs done around the house.
Much brighter start here this morning. The stratus cloud has a few holes in it and I've actually seen the sun....although it has now gone behind a bank of cloud....:-C
Birds have been scattered by the cat from over the road, so all is quiet at present.
