Frosty this morning & the pond still has a thin layer of ice on it, but the air has got milder, cloud cover here with snow flurries, short ones & it's very wet snow, none had laid.

An Absolutely beautiful day here. The sky is blue and completely free of clouds. There is something distinctive about the sky colour here for some reason.
The snow is about 18" deep along the driveway but bright and clean. It's -11 CF with only the lightest of breezes. Lovely!:king:

Between 9am and 11.30am it absolutely chucked it down of snow but by the time I finished work at 5pm it had all melted again! :-O

It was very icy underfoot in places this morning but it's now very pleasant and sunny and calm. A robin singing away outside just adds to the enjoyment too :t: It's VERY cold though.....-5 this morning :eek!:

A couple of customers earlier on this morning told me that more snow, possibly heavy, is forecast to arrive around teatime today up here so we'll see what the day brings ;)

Bright and sunny here and there is a blue sky at the moment.

Hi Gill your customers where right in what they said about the up and coming bad weather once more.

Just watched Countryfile and the weather is going downhill over the next 2 days so be forewarned. There is going to be snow first over the next day and after that heavy, snowy blizzards with very high winds on Mon/Tues :eek!::eek!::eek!:

Wednesday is going back to normality once more. :t:

Beautiful deep blue skies and sunshine this morning. Clouded over this afternoon with a very short snow shower. 3c dropping to 1.5c.

Dull, grey and miserable this morning, about an hour of sunshine mid morning and then downhill from there. Light rain/drizzle for most of afternoon, dry for now.

We've had about an inch of snow overnight it seems :t:

I didn't see it fall though as I was in bed last night at 8.15pm - I felt SO incredibly tired and every part of me ached all day yesterday and then, at 8pm, I had a nasty bout of throwing up and so went to bed as my cure for everything is sleep! ;) I feel a touch better today (ie not tired after 11.5 hours' kip!) but still feel very drained and weak :-C Hubby has made me take the day off work so, no doubt, I'll be very unpopular there today as Monday is a busy day :-O

It started off very bright and sunny with a gorgeous blue sky but now it's clouded over slightly and looks as though it could snow again at some point. Very still - no breeze at all.

Hi Gill

Oh poor you with the tiredness and the sickness. I hope that you feel better today. Nothing worse to put you off track. :gh:

No snow here, but it is very dull at the moment. I get a feeling that snow is in the air once more. :eek!:
If there is it will be a trip around to the supermarket - quickly, so we do not get caught up in the traffic later on in the day. ;)

Anyone here having trouble getting milk from their supermarket, ot locla shops? We seem to be having a milk dilemma here at the moment?

Hissing down and has been since before dawn.

Hope that you soon feel better, Gill.

Kathy....we get out milk delivered, in glass bottles and he didn't even miss last Tuesday......a bit late, but he got here, unlike the postman and the bin men!

Steady rain still! At least it is not the white stuff...yet!

On my way home this afternoon I stopped off at my local park to feed the Wildfowl. The park was empty of people apart from me and a man who was walking through the park, not surprising it was empty as it was raining! The lake was still roughly a 3rd frozen over. What a to-do when I started to throw the food around the ledge of the lake! Pandemonium broke out! The Canada Geese and Muscovies were even shoving the Mallards of the ledge and back into the water...it was a right free for all! The far end of the lake was devoid of birds once I started feeding!
I went away feeling sad, as whatever amount of food I had taken for them would not have been enough!
This winter is a harsh one for our Wildlife.|=(|
