After a little shower on the coast, it cleared to give more blue skies and good visibility.

Yes, that is a drop of rain on the lens.....;)

Sunshine and showers this morning.

Neighbour's cat has seen to it that there have been very few birds out front so far....:-C Blackies in good numbers out back with Woodies and Starlings.

It looks a bit nice there Wendy. The dark clouds and sunbeams make a good effect. Grey here, 4C. Just the regulars about.

Lovely pics, Wendy. I soooo wish I lived near the sea.

Rain overnight here; deep blue skies and sunshine. Feels nippy.

Lovely pictures Wendy. :t:

The one of the sea looks relaxing to look at, and the view is stunning. :gh:

We had a lovely day up here in Northumberland today :t: Clear blue skies and lots of sunshine but just that nip in the air to remind us it's still the middle of winter.
Unfortunately I work 9 - 5.30pm on a Monday so was trapped indoors all day but I'm off tomorrow (swopped days with another member of staff who needs Thursday off for a funeral) so planning to get out and track down a few Waxwings that are loitering around in a couple of spots.

Hi Gill

Best of luck with your Waxwings tomorrow, and I hope that you see lots of types of birds in your travels. Tell us what you see. ;)

Love your rainbow Wendy - looks good from here. :t:

Blue coming through, 3C. Blackie was about at 7, I could barely see it. They must have amazing eyesight. The link only takes me to U Tube home page Val. That's my computer again I expect.

Me too, Val, but I also noticed that in a pink area below the main headings, it says "The URL contained a malformed video ID."....so probably not your computer, Roy!

The blackies were awake early here too, heard them shortly after 7 too.

Very wet and dull at the moment

The birds are going mad in the garden, and I have not see such activity for a few days now.

WINTER STORM WARNING continues until about 7:00 tonight. We got 4-6 inches of snow since 6:00 last night and we are *just now* getting into heavy snow-fall. The weather people say we'll get another 6 inches of snow by Noon! There may be some sleet or ice mixed in also. The dogs were outside for only 10 minutes and came in white! The snow is coming down at a good rate.

Schools in the area are closed. I was supposed to have today off anyway so that's not a worry. The plow guy was here early this morning and cleared the drive. I'm sure he'll do it again later.

We have plenty of food for us and the critters. We are very fortunate because we don't have the massive ice accumulations they have in other states and power outages. Just a lovely snowy day. When it gets light outside ... piccys to follow. We'll need to shovel under the feeders and on the patio too for the birds to get to the seed they keep dumping on the ground.

Snowy

Look forward to the piccies, Lydia. There is the threat of some of the white stuff over here next week, but I'm sure that it won't be on the scale that you are getting...at least I hope not!!

Take care.
