Another three inches of snow overnight, and it was snowing until about half an hour ago. I really am very fed up with it now. I had inspected the track yesterday and thought I would have a go at getting my car out. No chance now.

I am very sorry to hear you both still have the white stuff, Pam & Kits.:-C
Snow all gone here, well mostly. It rained in the night & melted it & it didn't freeze again.

It finally stopped snowing about 4.30pm, Val! Be fun in the morning with -1c/-2c forecast tonight!

Light snow at present and -1c.

Its been a very dangerous day for everyone around here, black ice which apparently formed in the early hours has caused countless accidents, both for motorists and those on foot. The local hospitals have been very busy because of broken bones caused by people falling. I daren't even take my wheelie bin to the bottom of the drive for fear of slipping but at least I can get into the back garden to keep the birds well fed.

I'm well and truly fed up of this weather :C.

We had about a half cm of very wet snow overnight and that has gone now. Last week's snow had just about gone yesterday. There is the threat of black ice around here tomorrow, but much warmer after that. Then I suppose we shall get floods.

Misty start to the day and then overcast. Thaw gradually progressing - I can even see little green patches on the grass where I have clumped about in boots!

Woke up to very heavy rain this morning so this should get rid of the last bits of snow ~ i hope! ;) Sounds quite windy outside too. 4.3 degrees C on the outside thermometer.

Stuck at work all day today but off tomorrow so hopefully going to get out for my first proper day's birding then!

Rain! Wonderful! 90% of the snow has gone now (though the back garden is still covered!), and it is a baking 4°c here. Unfortunately, it is misty too and there is a lot of localised flooding.

The only snow I can see now is the tiny heaps that are all that remain of the local kid's snowmen. Around 6 degrees in my garden this afternoon and pretty wet all day. Looks like it'll be sunny tomorrow, if a bit blowy.

The rain stopped yesterday afternoon to leave a grey afternoon...but it did it's job and there's hardly any snow left now except in small heaps in sheltered corners.

Bright sunshine, blue sky and a postitively roasting temperature of 10.3 degrees C outside!!! :eek!: I can hear collared doves and great tits singing away outside......I'd forgotten just how lovely it is to hear birdsong and how much it lifts the spirits o:)

Sunshine and blue skies! Frost overnight. Still cold. Snow nearly all gone from the front, but the back garden is still about 80% covered in it.

Rain stopped in the night & we have a lovely sunny day here, mild, no frost, garden is very muddy.
The birds are singing here too.
