Today

This morning in the fields north of Brake Lane. 8 Skylarks displaying (both sides of the county line). 2 pairs of Yellowhammers, showing a close interest in the hedgerows. No Martins etc yet, and the woods very quiet regards Warblers

Corn Bunting

Walked the fields this morning, the Skylarks and Yellowhammers, seemed to done well this year, several of each showing well in the fields and hedges. Corn Bunting singing from the telephone wires.

50 House Martins, a similar number of Swifts and a solitary Swallow. Is this the year that disproves 1 Swallow doesn't make a summer.
