Upton Warren this evening - just the usual...highlights 4 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, c30 Curlew, Peregrine.

Pleased to hear of Upton Warren regulars reading Worcestershire Source blog...would be grand if a few more of them sent us some sightings ;):t:

Draycote this afternoon

Managed a couple of hours at Draycote late this afternoon mainly because I needed a Shag for my year list;). Arrived at 1600 with loads of families but by 1800 it was very much quieter. No chance of Shag at the fishing pontoons so decided to walk to the valve tower. Pleased to find three on the tower with four Cormorant. Also two on the pontoons when I returned at 1900 (? two from valve tower or two additional).

Shag (3): Goosander (f5) off inlet; Common Tern (3); A sit at the inlet watching the bushes produced Yellowhammer (3); Goldcrest (5); Willow Warbler (4); Whitethroat (1); Blackcap (2); Lesser Whitethroat (2); Grey Wagtail (4); Green Woodpecker (2);

5 Snipe, blimey! I was pleased with one on tuesday along with the Green Sand for entertainment when the Kingfishers weren't around.
