I saw this yellow wagtail at the Oued Massa estuary in Morocco yesterday (23/07). It immediately struck me as greyer than any yellow wagtail I've seen so far with a noticeably peach-coloured breast which made me wonder if it could at all be Eastern yellow wagtail. The call was also raspy (but the iberiae ssp. of Western yellow wagtail has a similar call and breeds in the area). No hint of long hind claw though.
Obviously this would be a very rare bird in Morocco (no confirmed Moroccan record yet) and I don't know if the two species can even be told apart without recordings (especially with ssp. plaxa individual complicating everything): unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get one. Nevertheless, I'd be happy to get any opinion on this bird.
