Western Monarch Butterfly population rebounds (1 Viewer)

Great news from California, as Monarch populations have bounced back from dangerously low levels last year.
I hadn't appreciated that there were two populations of monarch butterflies, and that the western one overwinters in California. This is certainly good news, especially given that the eastern population overwintering in Mexico seems to be in quite a lot of trouble:
