What’s the best thermal vision scope for wildlife observation? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a high-quality thermal vision scope for wildlife observation, especially in low-light or nighttime conditions. I’d love something with a good detection range, clear imaging, and reliable battery life.

Does anyone have recommendations based on personal experience? What features should I prioritize for the best results?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Best,
Sofiaera

Hmmm ... which of the many threads in this subforum shall I recommend? Best to just start reading, eh. The answer is definitely in there.

Clear imaging is not possible with thermal devices. There would need to be variation across the bird's body which is not the case even with large mammals. It works for observing some aspects of behavior and for doing a visual counting but for detail you need something like the Sony camcorder. It can be used for videos and for stills. Discontinued by Sony but ones in excellent condition are being sold online.
