What am I? (1 Viewer)

PYRTLE

Old Berkshire Boy
Well, it's almost dunlin sized but slightly smaller / very pale underpants / slightly shorter and straighter bill. Cannot confirm whether or not it has a hind toe. Wing bar not prevalent though.
Juvenile sanderling?

Very decent guess Pat but Andy nailed it. Was watching a pair at the Gann in Pembrokeshire this morning.

Here's a puzzle but only for people of a certain age:

I'm a passerine and my call is London W4. What am I?

Answer will be available when we get back home from Islay early next week.

Pied Wagtail ;)

London W4: postcode for Chiswick... in turn, "chis-wick" is a mnemonic for the flight call of Pied Wag, aka the "Chiswick flyover" :) Internet is your friend.
