hmm I'm questioning why I carry on this quiz after seeing these shots, drive me mad! really struggling with these but maybe a Scops Owl right at the bottom in the middle of the second photo?

Don't question it! You're in the lead already!:eek!:

AFAIK I didn't capture any other Scops Owls in any of the other photos. Even though Scops were present everytime I took a flash photo. ;)

I even doctored the photo to just show the head!

A big pat on the back for that Jonny! :t:

Here's the leader-board...

Occasionally this quiz will introduce other Wildlife into the equation...This is not a Birdy!

Yes Lou. But for the purposes of quiz. I wanted to narrow it down to type specifics. After all, even though there are more species of Gecko than any other lizard, it is known, in english as Moorish Gecko...,or, Common or Moorish Wall Gecko and Salamanquesa , Crocodile gecko , European common gecko , and Maurita naca gecko. And universally as Tarentola mauritanica.;)
And Jonny, other reptiles are available in the Balearics...but Moorish Gecko is certainly the commonest. And if it was on a vertical surface, it probably was one!:-O
This little fellow was hiding behind the window shutters, and then bolted down the wall to hide behind a bin, where I was "snapped" by the paparazzi! :-C

grrrrr. female stonechat on top of gate, middle veertical bar. (entrance to a yeard?) in the right part of pic, gate is below the tree, right of the trunk.

Ho ho, so it was a draw then!! Aw well, I'll need to try harder this time...;):t:

I'll have a pop at common redstart, in the same place Lou has said - on the gate, bottom middle, right of tree trunk....

For the first time you people have found a bird I didn't see!:eek!:

Although it looks like it is perched on the gate, it is in fact on the grass in the field behind...optical illusion....

So you each get a point for this. But you haven't got the right species.
However, it is another example of the species in question! Here's a helpful crop.
Once you've sorted the species go looking for any more in the bigger picture...:-C

(I'm making this all far too easy, as usual!:-O)
