I've told this story a couple of times here before and I guess I can tell it again since it involves Swarovski service. I was sitting in a local car dealer by a picture window overlooking the Susquehanna River flats while waiting for my car to be serviced. I had a small binocular with me just in case I'd see a Hawk. (I often did there!) A guy sitting near me told me this story. He had been hunting in Alaska the year before and went into a hunting supply store. He saw a Swarovski 8 x 42 (SLC I think) that was on sale. It appears that the previous owner did not like it and returned it. He looked it over and liked it. The price was good so he purchased it as a used item. When he returned home he laid them on a couch and his young labrador retriever came along, sniffed them, and decided to chew on them for a while making a mess of them in general and particularly the eye cups. So the guy called SONA, told them the truth about what happened and they told him to send them in. He got them back in 2 or 3 weeks in pristine, like new condition, along with a large leather chew bone wrapped in a ribbon for his dog! All they charged him was postage both ways. Bob
