Mainly it was searching for a good affordable compact that got me buying so many and now I certainly have several so should be able to apply the brakes.I'm still riding my 25 year old bike and the new one is sitting in the spare room basically since I bought it. The old one is less theft attracting but still pretty much as good as the new one, once I applied a few new parts or twenty.I'm sure I will always be interested in having at least some bins and trips out to use them but I'm not in any way fanatical. Purely for relaxation and enjoyment as is the cycling but also it's my only transport nowadays so I get plenty of practice whether I like it or not but it's something I also hope to stick to long term and not get lazy back in a car or on a motorbike although I do hope to get another of those at some stage.:t:If I had the dosh I wouldn't mind a few international birding expeditions though, not to tick off lists but just to see the beauty in the world and probably see how similar far afield is to home.That's my bucket list basically, probably. If/when any of it will happen is the troubling daily question.Until something happens I guess I'll just keep practicing focusing my Optima monoc on the pixels on this screen and maybe the odd wind of my wind up torch.
