Message: <blockquote data-quote="Farnboro John" data-source="post: 3360401" data-attributes="member: 36432">I can confirm the rumour.....I heard it in the Longstone Centre on a wet day in October 1985 (I think -though 1986 and 1987 were wetter and involved more café time) during which many rumours were being bandied about: the previous year was the first for seven years that Rough-legged Buzzard hadn't bred in Scotland, Great Grey Shrikes way up North in Sutherland, Pygmy Owls on the Black Isle - and these Gyrfalcons.
