What is this bird that I sometimes hear?? United States- Midwest (1 Viewer)

There's this bird I sometimes hear that goes like "Cheep chirp cheep" or "Hee her hee" a bit high pitched and I don't know what it is. I used Merlin Bird ID and it detected other birds chirping in the background, even though this bird I'm talking about was singing louder. (Like House Sparrows and some random Eastern Bluebird) I tried to increase the volume of it with some random website and it still only detected random other birds. I have a recording of it on my other device from May 24, 2024. But I will add it torromow as that other device has 0% battery and stuff. Also, when I try to search it up, it shows up stuff about Black-capped Chickadees and Eastern Towhees which sound different.

Best I can think of is Blue Jay, but that's just a guess

It may be a Tufted Titmouse. They have a lot of song variations. Here's a recording from Xeno Canto that sounds quite similar.

A blue jay doesn't even sound like that

Blue Jays make an extraordinary variety of sounds; are you sure you know them all? I lived in Blue Jay territory for years and was surprised again and again at hearing new noises from them.

I do not live in any of those states.

Tufted Titmice probably make similar calls where ever they occur, including all those parts of the Midwest where they are found.
I do not know what your bird is, but you might be a little more courteous to people who are trying to help you.

As stated by rkj, Blue Jays make a huge variety of sounds, and they have a common call that is similar. However, your bird seems a much better match with the Tufted Titmouse song variation suggested by cerw8385. It doesn't matter if there's not been a recording from your state. The recordings posted come from all over the Tufted Titmouse range, so it definitely can occur wherever you live, and I would be fairly confident that's what you heard.

However, your bird seems a much better match with the Tufted Titmouse song variation suggested by cerw8385. It doesn't matter if there's not been a recording from your state. The recordings posted come from all over the Tufted Titmouse range, so it definitely can occur wherever you live, and I would be fairly confident that's what you heard.

The mystery bird sounds like a Tufted Titmouse to me.
