What kind of insect is this? C Spain (1 Viewer)

Loony the Loon
I know I have seen pictures somewhere of something similar with that odd proboscide but I cannot find them now, when I am too curious as I have seen one in real life. Any ideas of the species or at list what family it belongs to?

The picture was taken in the mountains of Madrid in middle June.

Thanks in advance!! :t:

Possibly some sort of Assassin Bug.

Phil

Thanks Phil!! :t: Checked in Internet and, yes, this is what I was looking for!! Certainly it is an Assasin Bug! Knowing which is species will be tricky indeed, tough. But at least I know where to look now!! Thanks again! :t:

Its a species of Mirid bug, closely related to assasin bugs. We get several species similar to this in the UK but not knowing the Spannish fauna to well I would not want to take this to species level.

Miridae.

Thank you very much, borin!! :t: I have checked using your clue and finally found it!! It is Hadrodemus m-flavum, just in case anybody is interested! o:)
