Hi there everyone.

Want to say thank you to tim, holly and Eleanor Allwood, not missing out Ben and Andy Kane. thanks for everything. Another highlight moment meeting you all.

Well, three weeks today I will be at sandy and every RSPB reserve will have been visited. Then it's a case of cycling back to Warwick for Christmas before finishing the year at the place where my adventure began so many months ago, Sandwell Valley RSPB reserve.

Still need 7 birds to beat Chris mill's record of 251.

Yare valley reserves next before heading to Minsmere etc next weekend.

Have been reading some old copies of birding world tonight and it's amazed me how many of the prominent birders mentioned in three I've met over the year. There you go. Get on your bike and meet the birder celebrities. An incredible variety of people with our shared passion for all creatures feathered.

What will the New Year bring?

My patch, Upton Warren and maybe a foreign holiday.

Now that's where you come in.

Any suggestions for where I should go for a complete change from this tear but still with plenty of birds?

All the very best everyone,

Gary Prescott

Uncomfortably Numb.
Hi Gary,

Well if you're thinking of overseas you could do a lot worse than Spain, Turkey or Israel. All really good for birds & something different in each Country. Anywhere around the Med will give you a whole host of new & exciting species but if migration in large numbers appeals to you then Israel is the place, anytime from mid March to mid May. The former is a good time to go as the weather is usually still cold here & the numbers of Raptors can be staggering. You've also got the Dessert species & most of the good stuff you get around the Med in Summer is also migrating through.

Hi mate. Good to hear from you and well done for your fantastic endeavours thus far. I'll chuck a link to this thread in the Upton Warren thread to ensure the gang have seen this.

Cheers and see you soon

Sy
