There is an interesting post from a SE 8x32 use doing field work in Florida (semi-tropical!) who talks about getting caught out in the rain (Florida rain!) with the SE over many years and not having a fogging issue.I suspect that waterproofing is slightly over-rated (even by me) and is very handy if you fall out of a boat or drop the bins. But weather-resistance is a rather lower bar.I suspect fungus/mildew and the like might be more of an issue in Indonesia.
