These days, with me, itz more about 'views' rather than just another new bird..[not that i'm knockin seeing something new]! Recently in Peru....sand coloured nighthawks swarming over the river at close range...great potoo with chick....white bellied cinclodes jumping around over ground..lyre tail nightjar and itz amazing 'song'...these were things i'll never forget. As for some of the nondescript stuff...well...although 'new'..i doubt if i can remember them now!
