What's the latest on Meopta? (2 Viewers)

That would be Binoculars ...
Very strange.
Meopta Sports Optics - European premium optics won't even let you see a 2024 pdf catalog, you get "404 Unavailable". It can be downloaded from the EU site.

No wonder Google reports "People also ask: Is Meopta still in business?" (meaning binoculars of course)

I'm going to stop responding to threads about Meopta. It's just ridiculous.

The main Meopta site still seems to be functional: Home | Meopta :: Better view of the world
including allowing the downloading of catalogues [the disconnected link seems to have been to part of Meopta's US site (?)]

Just two updates from their website. They have a 2025 catalogue (with no draw tube spotter :() and are still doing trade shows. They also have a story about the recent completion of their manufacturing facility upgrade including for consumer products. Hopefully this means they are not leaving the sport optics business?

has530: A facility upgrade sounds like a legitimate reason to being quiet for some time. Draw tube spotters are probably not selling too well.

It would be cool if they did an upgrade to the B1 Plus, taking them to B2.

And a bit more info, specifically in relation to Meopta's US operations . . .

Doug/ gr8fuldoug recently commented on Rokslide:

'Meopta closed their USA office back in September. They are saying they'll have a new USA facility by late Spring.
At this time all warranty and repair work needs to go through the Czech Republic . . . '

He indicates that the closure was due to the restructuring following the sale of the firm.
