A pleasantly warm sunny and breezy afternoon! Great stuff!:t:

The leaves are already starting to fall off the Rowan tree in my front garden.

September
When the goldenrod is yellow,
And leaves are turning brown -
Reluctantly the summer goes
In a cloud of thistledown.

When squirrels are harvesting
And birds in flight appear -
By these autumn signs we know
September days are here.

After an overcast start, it turned into a corking day mid morning. Lovely warm sunshine. Lots of wood pigeons and magpies on the lawns first thing.

Weather is looking good, and it is brightening up all of the time now

Unlike the heavy rain we had here yesterday afternoon. :-C

Feeling much warmer today even though there is a fair bit of cloud cover, the wind is less strong and it is very pleasant.

Quiet garden here too, but I suspect that the visit of the Spawk earlier in the week is mostly responsible for that. The usual Starling gang came in and cleared everything on the front lawn in double quick time, but there is still food on the back garden table and I've not had to fill the seen hoppers for several days.

I am glad it's not just my garden which is quiet, Wendy. I put out two chopped apples on the bird table this morning, and they haven't been touched. :eek!: The sunflower seed feeder is still three quarters full too - most unusual.

Another glorious sunny morning here!! The garden has been awash with birds this morning, I hope my day of bird watching will be just as good!!!!

Good Morning to all,
Another sunny and warm day ahead better make the most of it because it is supposed to be turning colder next week.
Might pop up to Brandon for a few hours.
Take care,
Nigel.

A lovely sunny morning but its clouded over now with a very chilly west wind. The garden has been very quiet today, not even a sparrow to be seen.

A lovely sunny day and quite warm. Started to cloud over about 5pm, and is dull now; the wind is picking up too.

Sunny all day until now

Now it feels colder, and it looks although it is going to rain.

October has literally breezed in here with heavy showers and stiff winds for most of the day!
My birds have been hungry and are feeding well especially the Goldies!

I was woken up just after 5am - starting with two very strong gusts of wind 'woooinngggg' along my road. Then a very heavy rain storm came thundering down for a few mins, then it stopped. Quite creepy sounding. :eek!:

The wind has been strong all day and is blowing everything around that is not secure in the back garden :eek!:

The wind has quietened down now, and the sun has appeared.

It has been a glorious day here with sunshine and blue skies all day, though it has been breezy and cool. Lots of magpies and wood pigeons, but that is about it.

It started off sunny but clouds on the horizon soon brought heavy squally showers. Feeling quite cold, 10C at 4pm and a chilly wind.

A clear night and bright sunny morning has brought the first frost for us.

Rain is forecast for Northern parts of Scotland, falling as snow on the mountain tops!

Gosh Delia, this time last week we were fellwalking in T shirts in Cumbria!
Tis a cold day here too and last night we had a terrific sheet lightening display that lit up the room as if it was daylight!
