Bright and breezy. I've been out nearly all morning, so I don't know what visitors I had then, but I have seen Blue, Great and Coal Tits since I got back, along with a few Goldies.

Lovely day here. Bright sun, but it is clouding over sometimes. Feels warm through the windows. Lots of birds in the garden now that I've fed them.

Goldies, Wendy, that is grossly unfair.:-C:-O

Spent the afternoon in Chester with a friend and it's been glorious with soft autumn sunshine breaking through for a lot of the time.
The River Dee has burst it's bank in places and the surrounding fields are flooded.

Sunny spells!

A Robin sang atop the conifers and a football team of Woodpigeons were scoffing the scones up on the lawn.o:D

hi Ruth and Pam

Yes the sun is out here and the birds have been telling me they want their food as usual. The Sparrows tell me big time that they want their food by hopping close to my kitchen window. o:)

The dishes with the ground feeder where emptied this morning and that is quite unusual so the birds must have felt hungry yesterday.

Looking forward to a bit of walk today and get some fresh air. :-O

Blue skies, sunshine, 7c so a bit nippy.

Lots of chaffinches, a thrush, 3 male blackbirds, several woodpigeons and blue tits around this morning.

It is a glorious autumn day here. 10C, quite breezy, but a lot of blue sky.

Been out again this morning (more of that later!), so no idea who has cleared the food up!

Neil and I had a lovely early morning walk on Boulmer beach today and despite being a touch grey and overcast it was fairly warm and had barely a breath of wind- very pleasant indeed :t:
Bird activity was pretty quiet - apart from rather a lot of wrens churring away every few yards it seemed and the usual stonechats on top of shrubs & gorse.

The highlight of our walk was Neil finding a tiny - approx 3cm across - starfish o:) It's the first one either of us have seen for absolutely years!!! I think it was a young Common Starfish but I'll check out a few sites and see - it was purple but had orange tips on it's fingers. We thought it was dead at first but when it started to move Neil put it into a nearby rock pool so it wouldn't be eaten by anything.

Found it! It wasn't a Common at all - it's a species called a Purple Starfish :t:

This pic is from St Abbs and Eyemouth which is just up the road from us o:)

hi Gill

Love reading your report, and I am pleased that you found a more unusual Starfish. It is a beautiful shade of purple/pink, Never seen that before

Been to St Abbs Head lots of times, and it is a beautiful place, with all the rolling high cliffs, a lovely view, and Seabirds everywhere. It feels although you are on top of the world.

Worth a visit anyday. :t:

Weather dull and slightly wet today. Need to do some chores, so I will enjoy my regular walk.

Hope that it brightens up soon.
