Just plain old dull today :-C

We had a lot of heavy rain last night, and now it looks drab for that reason. :-C

I heard it is going to be cold this weekend. Is this the case?

We've had a gorgeous day here. A bit foggy to start, but the sun broke through early and apart from a little high cirrus this afternoon, was there until it set. The fog was very thick over the Somerset Levels this morning and had barely cleared by early afternoon. May well be worse tomorrow.

Wet snow last night froze over every thing above 250ft and hasnt gone away. Its been bright and calm tho. Little sign of the predicted weather. No birds about with such slim pickings to be had.....a bit chilly...

Plenty of Woodies, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Dunnock and a Robin who was singing away early this morning.

Not too warm here either, Colonel! Put your fur lined collar stud on and you'll be OK!!!! ;)

Here it is dull, grey and feeling damp although it is not actually raining. Temp hovering just above freezing at the moment.

Plenty of bird activity this morning including 5 male blackies (all behaving perfectly) and 3 females. Not large numbers at any one time, but a lot of movement in and out.

What time is bird?
Well I went up the 557m high hill and was actually too warm! It seemed to get warmer the higher up, but that may have been due to my exertion...

Cloudy, but dry, chilly though. 3 1/2c most of the day, according to the temperature guage in my Daughters car. It had the frost sign on it.

-3.00 degrees in Leeds, when I went to work this morning and very foggy. My car windscreen refroze after I set off after defrosting it. We haven't seen the sky all day due to the fog and the chill has been there all day as well. Car frozen up again when I left work to come home, although it was by then 4.00 degrees, so much warmer...LOL

The fog has cleared and the temp is 0.8c, a rise of 0.4c since 6.30am this morning! So getting warmer!

Plenty of birds in the garden...10 Woodies scoffing the seed and scones! Coal, Great and Blue Tits, Blackbirds, Dunnocks and a Wren that I disturbed as I went outside with the food! I am crumbling a couple of fatballs these cold mornings which I mix with the scone and seed for the ground feeders.

Dull, damp, dismal and even some sleet earlier on.

Went for a walk with OH and the dog this morning and saw hardly any wildlife at all. Rooks and Woodies in some number, but very little else.

Black Isle, Ross-shire

Severe frosts for the past few nights. Snow this morning but getting slightly milder this afternoon. I have been putting all my hydrangas into the greenhouse and feeding the birds twice a day.

Cold, wet, miserable anf depressing today so we stayed at home :-C

I think that it might be a bit frosty tonight as it feels that way at the moment.

I want to pay a visit to my patch this week once more if the weather is on my side - me hopes :t:

A very frosty start to the day and the temp hasn't risen above 2.5C but is has been quite pleasant with sunny periods and hardly any wind. 0C at present.

Strangely, although Keith didn't see any sky yesterday it was clear where I live, which is just the other side of Leeds to him. I live in quite an elevated area and looking across the city and beyond it looked very murky.
