Message: <blockquote data-quote="Wendy Morris" data-source="post: 1312242" data-attributes="member: 15225">Another of my moments also concerns a Barn Owl.  It was about 8 years ago, in the days before I carried my camera everywhere like I do now!  It was a January afternoon and OH and I (plus a very well behaved Border Collie) watched in amazement as a BO quartered the field that we were walking past.  We stood, rooted to the spot, for about 20 minutes and watched a wonderful display of silent hunting which ended only when it dropped on some prey and flew off.  A couple of times it came within a few yards of where we were standing, but had no fear of us at all. Shame about the lack of camera, but I can still 'see' it.Great pics of owls from you both, Emma and Matt, and your descriptions too.</blockquote>
