Foreign birds are ok if you like that kind of thing or are into ticking big numbers but I think the UK has superb birds and I normally find something that gives me a buzz every time I go out. They may not be rare, unusual or 'mega' birds but then I'm not into bird watching as a competitive sport. I don't 'tick lists' or twitch rarities, I just enjoy watching birds, whether it's a Bittern flying over a reedbed in Norfolk or the Mallards in my local park. I know that some people find common birds completely mind-numbingly boring, but I can't get enough of them.</p></blockquote><p></p>
