Message: <blockquote data-quote="becksysmon" data-source="post: 1259864" data-attributes="member: 68437"><p>well, had a hive of activity this morning, blackbirds, male, female and juvenile and a couple of others but i'm not 100% what they were, must get a good guide book, all very interested in the bird table, with the juvenile taking up residence for about half an hour, really boosted my confidence in that i'm on the right tracks, sourced a small bag of sunflower hearts at extortionate price but if they prove popular can start looking for more reasonable rates, put out a fruit suet block yesterday but noticed today covered with wasps, so not sure if that was a good move, had several people advise me not to put out nyger seed unless goldfinches already in garden and others who say use it to attract them in, but i think at this stage i might compromise and try the sunflower hearts see what they attract and then try nyger seed, to be honest it's more a matter of cost, over the past two months had to throw loads away and still not got that many visitors, let me know what you guys out there think</p></blockquote><p></p>
