I hope I do not drift off topic too much here. I have got to get this off my chest (have my reasons now) Bea: That is so true about members who we got to know very well. I am looking back 10 + pages or so of the x-beeb and I remember some of the missing people away back to when I joined this Forum. They seemed to have disappeared around about the middle of 2008 - why that time. Strange what was so important about that time I wonder - was there any major events at that time. :eek!: I think if I have built up a rapport with people on all my Forums, and if I said I could 'not' post as much as I could, I would tell people openly. Then I would prefer to say I was busy and tell people before I disappeared for whatever reason. It is just being polite more than anything else. People worry if you disappear, and like in the real world there is a concern if that person is alright. That is human nature. People are people whether if be in cyber world or the real world. I did not manage to state my 'full' case when it was discussed last November, so now I am glad I have been given a chance to do so now, and people are taking note what is being said now. So I feel good that I am part of this group, as I always was over the past two 2 years or so. That is what I wish for more than anything else. Thank you for your comments everyone. Peter: Thank you for your interesting point about lack of people posting in our areas. It looks although we are in the same boat with our Local Patches. It is odd that has happened. Some time ago a member mentioned that the Bedford people like to be elsewhere or words to that affect and I was a bit stumped to what was being said but anyway now I know what was meant by the remark. So it looks like we have to make up for our lack of fellow countrymen in other ways, and we do. Val: I know what you mean about finding the overall forum a bit daunting. I think it is sheer amount of information from many members that will make you head buzz. I found going into the lighterweight areas like the feeder/garden areas to start off with is a good thing to do. Then enter some of the discussions if you feel like a chinwag. Otherwise: It is also good to hear others point of view too and I really hope this is just a hic-up with X-Beebs, and all will settle down once more. I just want things to go 10 steps forwards (not three steps backwards) as it has done so over part of last year. I find that worrisome that people on here feel that way they do that things are dwindling a bit. I feel we should pull together as a group and support each other as much as we can and keep the X-Beebs running as it should. Like I have said already, I have never stayed in one part of the Bird Forum and I think if people want to spread their wings that is good, but also to continue posting on the X-Beebs so the contact and socialibility is still there. It is like having the best of both worlds at our fingertips. Personally, I am on quite a few Forums at the moment, and feel comfortable with the members I meet there. I am on the Forums because I enjoy the subject a lot, and the interaction with other people who feel the same way, and not for any other reason. That is how I feel and no-one can take those thoughts away from me - no matter what. Just some of my views here. o:D
