;) Hi Chicadeedeedee, I just joined ex-beeb a few weeks ago and enjoy reading every ones comments from day birds to whats growing in your yard, etc. I like the "homey" read and feel of the forum. I'm not a big poster but add when I have something I think might interest the group. Reading your post I see your both under the weather. We can all sympathize with you on that level, I have my issues also but keep plogging along enjoying my birding when ever I'm out and about. Hope your both feeling much better now that Spring has finally arrived here in the USA. While out today I detoured to view a nice old farm property. The weeping willow has just started to "green up" and stands out from the tree line as if to say, "Here, look at me". The mallard pair have claimed their pond for another year and sit in their spot preening. As if on cue, the woodchuck shows itself to nibble fresh grass ever watch-full of predator's from above, nearby and far. I don't know about you, but I like to go to a favorite location and just check to see that at least there's one place I know that hasn't changed. The wildlife might be last years young but its comforting to know that those birds, chipmunks, woodchucks carry the DNA genes from generations ago. As much as things change , they stay the same |=)| New arrivals this week: Blue bird male checking natural cavity nesting sites - keeping fingers crossed! 100's of Am. Robins 3 pair Hooded mergansers 3 Wood ducks drakes Red-winged Black bird females 50-60 Brown-headed cowbird 1 Fox sparrow Enjoy your weekend! Bob
