Which Giant Petrel (Southern Chile)? (1 Viewer)

I believe in God, only I spell it N.A.T.U.R.E. - F
hihi,

Any ideas which (Southern or Northern) Giant Petrel these photos are of? They were taken in mid-March in the Straits of Magellan, and both are of the same individual.

The photos in Couvre & Vidal suggest that it's a Southern Giant Petrel, but I'm hopeless with the pelagic birds in my own backyard, nevermind the ones in Patagonia!

Thanks!

From the photo I'm getting a hint of a red/brown hue to the tip of the bill, which would make it a Northern

From the colour of the bill tip I would agree with Northern which I understand is, curiously, normally found in more southerly waters than Southern.
