Which Lamprotornis? (escaped in Italy) (1 Viewer)

Sorry for bad pictures of a dead bird... I hope I can write here my question:

This bird was killed 10 years ago in Italy, probably an escaped bird, found last week in a (illegal) private collection. Could you help me with the id?

Is it a a Greater Blue-eared Starling? Or some other Lamprotornis?

Eye and site of the capture could not be helpful... :-C

Thank you in advance

I think it is always going to be difficult to decide between Greater Blue-eared and other Lamprotornis. Do you have the size measurements?

Greater Blue-eared Lampronotis chalybaeus is 23-24 cm
Miombo/Lesser Blue-eared Lampronotis elisabeth/chloropterus is 18-20 cm
Cape Glossy Lampronotis nitens is 25 cm

I would guess at Greater Blue-eared, but that is all it would be.

Just a thought..
If it was a captured bird, do they cross them with other species in captivity? It would open a whole new can of worms as far as identification goes...
