Much ado about nothing The original question was well stated: "which one do you like better?" Some of the heated discussions that followed tried to answer the futile question which one was "the best". Our tastes are so different from one another that what's good for you might well be bad for me. Consequently the second question has no possible answer and, while the first definitely has an answer, I am not really interested to hear it 'cause I have already made my mind: SV 8x32. Some people are willing to trade a bigger weight for a larger EP, I am not. Some people hate the open hinge design, I love it and think that there are no better ergonomics than the SV's. Many people don't care about sharp edges, I do as otherwise the image gets quickly blurred due to my eyes astigmatism. SV 8x32 ticks all the boxes for me, except for glare/flare control, but one cannot have everything (and yes it's expensive but it's supposed to last many years and keep its value and so the price becomes less important) So do not listen to me and ignore my opinion and choice.......you have your own favorite pair: start using it more often instead of dissecting it.
