This is incorrect. Fulfilment of 33.2.1 makes the 1922 spelling an emendation rather than an incorrect subsequent spelling. But for this emendation to be justified, we'd need 33.2.2 to be satisfied too, which in the case of an inadvertent error means the fulfilment of 32.5.1: internal evidence of an inadvertent error in the OD itself, or a correction issued, either in the same volume of the journal, or as a circulated slip to be inserted in the work. This we don't have, hence the name is unquestionably an unjustified emendation (33.2.3). (The emended spelling is certainly not in prevailing usage.) As an unjustified emendation, mesopotamiae Ticehurst, 1922, is an available name, which is an objective junior synonym of mesopotamia Ticehurst, 1918. This means that it could be used in replacement of the senior synonym if the latter was found invalid for any other reason (but until this happens, as a junior synonym, it is itself invalid); and it would make any later-proposed "mesopotamiae" invalid in the genus in which it is classified. (As an incorrect subsequent spelling, it would have no nomenclatural standing whatsoever.)
