First let me apologise for the poorer than necessary image quality. The twonk on the camera (set on shutter priority) didn't notice he had turned the setting to 1/3200 sec, so at 200m+ on a cloudy day the focussed depth of field was about a quarter of an inch ...... That said this duck was on an inland lake at Warnham NR near Horsham, South England with a group of about 30 male and female Tufted duck and Pochard. With only binoculars the white 'face' stood out and the bill looked to have less of a black tip than the others ...... but when I enlarged my crappy photos it does look more like a normal female tuftie bill and plumage. Any contrary views before I log it as a 'White-fronted Tuftie'? I think a Scaup would be unusual and perhaps a first for this location, but I cannot find a list for the Reserve online.
