Note the difference (besides the white wings) between this and a Mourning Dove...no brown/black spots on wing feathers.

Bill,

Thank you for the beautiful shots of the doves. And for the ID lesson. We always have Mourning Doves in our area, but occasionally White-Wings in the last couple of years. I have always struggled to see if there was white on their wings when I could have been looking for an easier marking - lack of spots. I'm sure I've noticed that in bird books before, but with your pointing it out, I'll always remember.
