I'm going to visit the Beel grassland and wetland and dihing Paktai areas in January 2025 (about 4 + 5 days). Has anyone stayed at any of the Eco-lodges in the area and what were your experiences? Also, what did you do for transport? It seems like a good idea might be staying in Tinsukia to do the wetlands and do day trips with a taxi as it is not too far away.
I have been unable to find car rental possibilities in the area which would probably make more sense logistically and financially. The eco-lodges near to the wetlands seem to be a bit of a shot in the dark - I read some bad reviews which are putting me off.
Has anyone stayed in the Forest guesthouse in Dihing P. NP? Any contacts for reasonably priced transport would be appreciated. Also a good birding guide might be helpful for Dihing.
