Canaries forever... and i'm not always scary, some
Is this otter scat or just a dog (as I suspect)? Or is it some plant eating animal that i haven't thought of? Not swan surely?

looking at it, it looks as though it has Hair in it, Did it Paul?
I then nipped out of work and had a look around the only patch of grass in the area.
looking at was about on there, there is either a glut of otters in the centre of Middlesbrough or it could well be Dog poo.

Farnboro John may pick up on this one as I think he likes a good Poo.;)

They always say that Otter poo has a sweet smell

Most otter poop i see is on rocks beside fresh water although i dont know if this is the rule because here its being deposited after or before entering the sea to hunt. Best to sniff it and see if it smells musky and of fish. Dog poop smells like dog poop!!

Any reason not to suppose it was a fox (or a cat)? Can't see any fish bones or scales in it. Looks like predator scat though. Either the weather was wet or its very fresh.
