Why don't the major sporting goods stores stock any high-end Zeiss binoculars?
Guess it depends on the store. The Cabela's in my area stocks the HT in a least one power. There are two Sportman's Wharehouse stores here. The one on the east side has the HT but the one on the west side has never had an HT. I think that explains a lot of it. I have been told several times by people in the industry that Swaro offers incentives to sale people. I have also heard Cabela's has restrictions on employee participation in these types of programs. That is probably why I notice less of a "Green" push at Cabela's compared to some of the other stores. Camera Land added the "September" pre-order shipping date back in the summer of 2014 for Sept of 2014. It appears they never updated the web site since then for the 10X. As I recall, pre-order deliveries from some sellers started in November 2014 for Europe and December 2014 for the US.
