Why no hummingbirds? (1 Viewer)

I put up a nice hummingbird feeder a few weeks ago and have been changing the sugar water every few days but there are no hummingbirds!

I live on Long Island NY so we only have the ruby throated hummingbird species but I don't see it here yet.

I saw one last September drinking out of these hibiscus type flowers in my yard.

Why haven't any showed up yet I thought they migrated by now..

They will be along. Females are just starting to show up, here in the Midwest. Seen the first female this past Friday.
Checked Ebird, and it appears slightly south of Hauppauge has the greatest concentration. Indicating somewhat coastal,
meaning perhaps movement is ongoing.
