In South Korea, about 3 to 4 American Wigeons are observed per year. American Wigeon females have rarely been observed in our country. This bird that I met in Jeju Island in February shows the characteristics of the American Wigeon female-type. However, I am very confused because this bird is different from the characteristics of a typical American Wigeon female. This bird have a mixture of the characteristics of the two species, so I doubted whether it was a hybrid. Is this an American Wigeon first-cycle female? Who is this?
