Will this camera qualify for digiscoping? (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased the freshly released Panasonic T-Z1 10X Leica callapsible lens system camera a small powerful camera which is technically considered a P&S type camera but streaches the term to a new level according to pro-camera user sites such as dcresource.com.

what I would appreciate is if some of you could review the following specs and give me an idea of what sucess I might expect before I start adding adapters and asscessories for digiscoping?

Would care to share any info..it would be helpful and I realize the lack of full manual controls will limit some settings but I'm hopeful it won't totally stop this camera from doing a capabile job.

Just for info purposes,the camera features many pre-set modes to eliminate manual input and to maintain the small camera size,one of the modes(underwater) allows setting manual exposures though.

Maestro, it's not really a question of how capable the camera is, the sad fact is 10x zoom lenses are way too powerful for digiscoping use due to vignetting problems, what you need is a compact camera with a 3x zoom.

Have a good look through the forum, it will give you a good idea of what works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the suggestions and yes I will explore further,I guess I was hoping for better news or even from someone using this camera.
