Sunday, June 15th entry and AZ triva ......

31. Built by Del Webb in 1960, Sun City, Arizona was the first 55-plus active adult retirement community in the country.

Sun City and Sun City West are one of the wintering grounds for the Arizona Snowbird (our winter visitors) and is located in the northwest part of the Phoenix metro area. If you want to add this species to your life list, then the best place to spot one is at a local buffet about 4 PM!

Standing in my front yard I can see 5 different species sitting on nests, all within 50 feet of each other!
