mathare, there is certainly no need to say "sorry" - after all we are artists, aren't we? We work when we please, and only if we feel inspired. And you know what I think about your haikus? I would not have thought it possible after the jokes, but I like them very much! Also, I think there's a nice contrast: Yours are more on the practical side, whereas mine are more metaphorical ... or pretentious, if one were less friendly inclined.

Well, here is my newest pretension:

Melancholy calls:
curlews announcing winter,
a future in mist.

Just back from the Nunnery Lakes, Thetford, never seen so many Canadas, beautiful Little Grebe but b/all else, far far far too many geese !

Cool, sunny and breezy in Penn's Woods today. Beautiful day but flannel shirt weather. Golden Rod is still out in force. Starting to see some changes in the trees now. Fall is just around the corner.
