Winter Hummingbird feeder (1 Viewer)

In anticipation of the cold and snow, I wanted something that shields the hummingbird feeder from the elements. I bought a window birdfeeder with a cover, Styrofoam vent covers
(Partially painted them red) and then bought mini handheld feeders. I will see what the snow looks like on them.

Nice work, hope it helps. I know some who take theirs in at night and refresh if it gets really cold during the day.

I had the same problem several years ago with bats invading the hummer feeders so I took the feeders down at night for a week and that managed to do away with them.

Hi neighbor(Bremerton here), very nice. If they get feeding it will keep you busy filling those tiny feeders. I usually just bring mine in at night. We're fortunate to have little extreme cold here. It is supposed to get cold the next few days.
