Today we drove from Queen Elizabeth NP to Kibale, birding at Bigodi Wetland in the afternoon.
The next day was the big pitta hunt. First we heard three birds in the morning but we couldn't see them. We searched all morning without success, however after we gave up and walked back to the car the guide spotted a Pitta, hopping on the ground and searching for nest material. Great stuff! In the afternoon we went Chimpanzee tracking, another great experience.

First a long drive from Fort Portal to Masindi where we stay in the oldest hotel of Uganda.
The next day we bird the famous Royal Mile in the Budongo Forest. Unfortunately the Chocolate-backed Kingfisher was heard only.

First full day in Murchison National Park. We do a boat ride down the Nile to Lake Albert and back and a game drive in the afternoon. Giraffes are incredibly cool animals!;)
