Syrian Woodpecker Dendrocopos syriacus, juvenile, for me :t:
I think this is a Middle Spotted Woodpecker D. medius?!
crown is all red and there is clear streeking and a rosy hue on breast/belly (too much streaking and too wide distribution of rosy coloration for Syrian woodpecker)
And also in a young D. syriacus there would be some black between the white feathers above eye and the red cap
Is it the lilfordi race of a White-backed Woodpecker?

I`m afraid, that the white patches on shoulders rule out WBW.
I have a photo of a WBW (But not lilfordi) from Poland, that had white wing patches, but can’t access it at present.
I agree the bill looks too strong, but I think colorwise all features fit for Middle spotted.jpg[/url]

The darknes at the bill base /part of the head could be due to staining and angle, like here
