On a short visit to Salwarpe yesterday morning, we came across our first sighting of a Hornet Mimic Hoverfly. Couldn't believe the size of it! https://www.flickr.com/photos/mairis-wildlife/14666690009/

Two new ones in the garden trap this morning - both common though:

1. Gold Spot
2. Orange Swift

Very poor record shots of these below - due to poor light and drizzle at ~5am.

Also had 2 Poplar Hawk Moths amongst others.
