This bird does show the venetian blind effect in the inner primaries and it does have a nice wing bar across the base of the greater coverts. I suppose I'm only really happy with the ID of this bird as both of those features were present as it seems that Yellow Legged Gull and Heuglins Gull don't ordinarily show these features, perhaps. However, I have posted shots on Birdforum of YLG which have obvious wing-bars and some do seem to have more pale webbing in the inner primaries than others. That's the trouble with gulls!</p></blockquote><p></p>
