Unfortunately the North Kent marshes are pretty much all like this. It's a choice between accepting the odd kicking as it when it happens or giving up birding (or just stick to twitching). I've been lucky up to now so I won't let this put me off. As you said, no harm done really and I'll get a new phone in the post in about four weeks. Today I was just unlucky. The police have now told me that the vehicle is registered to a woman who lives in a Gypsy area. These areas are pretty much no-go areas for the police, let alone the likes of you and me. The vehicle (Land Rover Discovery!) is of course untaxed, uninsured and is not MOT'd. I just can't work out when he noticed me; was it today? Or has he seen me park up several times previously and today was the day that he decided to flip as he thought that he was being watched by the police (which he accused me of being). Anyway, a few gull pics attached. Probably a Herring but I'd be happy to hear your thoughts. Taken with my new (well, new to me) P5100 through my Kowa 883mm from the car (in the criminals layby;))
